ABOUT
A duo built on understanding, warmth and dialogue.
PJ Duo is a string ensemble made up of violinist Katarina Pinter Jovanović and cellist Bogdan Jovanović. The duo was founded in 2017 out of a shared wish to play chamber music and to explore new expressive possibilities within classical music. Their collaboration began during their student years, spontaneously and directly, through performances on open stages, and today, as a married couple, they deepen that artistic connection further through playing together.
Over the years they have given numerous performances at home and abroad, building a varied repertoire and adapting it to different concert and stage settings. They are regular guests of the Ports of Arts programme within the KotorArt festival, and have appeared at festivals, artistic projects and notable events, including Gradić Fest in Novi Sad, programmes within the KotorArt festival, and a range of cultural and corporate occasions.
Their experience also covers conferences, ceremonial openings and exclusive events, where their playing helps shape the atmosphere and the artistic identity of the occasion (FIMEK, the FEFA tennis tournament in Belgrade, the opening of the Phi studio, and others).
PJ Duo cultivates a balance of artistic seriousness and approachability, with the aim of bringing classical music closer to a contemporary audience while keeping its authenticity and expressive depth.
Their performances are marked by mutual understanding, expressive warmth and a carefully shaped musical dialogue.
Founded in 2017, Novi Sad.
